1st Annual Amateur Championship

CONFIRM YOUR FOURSOME NOW! Combine doing good with great golf! Please join us once again for the best golf at a course rated in the top 100. The event that has been known as the Canterbury Golf Classic will be changing this year to the Amateur Golf Championship at Canterbury Benefiting Our Lady of the Wayside. The format will be 2 Best Ball of Four (with handicap), with the Low Gross Winner taking home a trophy, so gather up your best foursome and plan on a great day of golfing Canterbury Golf Club, home of the 2009 Senior PGA Championship, on Monday, August 25. Great golf, good company and a wonderful cause scores a "hole in one" every time!

The event will begin at 10:30am with a shotgun start and this year the Fun Package will be included with each entry fee. The event will conclude with dinner, an awards ceremony presenting the trophy and a Live Auction to benefit Our Lady of the Wayside.

While we are enjoying the best golf has to offer in the quest for the trophy, it is a comfort to know that you are truly making a significant difference in the lives of many children and adults who are mentally and physically challenged who call Our Lady of the Wayside home. Thanks to your continued support, we will continue our mission to relocate the nineteen individuals who remain at our Guadalupe facility to smaller residential homes in 2008.
